The Camino Francés guide app has received a minor data update during March (the time when most albergues are preparing to open their doors). An important addition to note is the opening of Casa Banderas in Vilachá. Casa Banderas has been around for a many years now and pilgrims past will remember it for the flags that hung over the front gate.
Gordon Bell and Family have put a lot of love and energy into the place and I am glad to see that they have made it through the red tape.
Any pilgrims planning on stopping in Portomarin for the night might do better to stay in Vilachá… and use Portomarin as their coffee break instead.
There is as well another albergue in Melide, the Albergue San Anton, that ought to have been part of the previous release but which did not make it. There is still scaffolding up in front of the albergue but it is open.
A few others have changed owners, and changed names, and quite a few more have changed their prices.
Keep an eye out for the update before the end of the month.
